home: being where one’s roots are
This book features a company’s unique pottery line through the concept of “home”. Home away from nature for bonsai trees – in this case the actual pot in which the plant will spend most of it’s life. The origins of the pottery composite is highlighted with emphasis on the benefits of the material as a natural environment for the longevity of the plants. The book is finished with an open spine stitch binding, suggesting the idea of exposed roots and a blind emboss on the cover. Finally the book is “planted” and presented in a pot surrounded with bonsai soil.
